Try and imagine this… one electricity grid for Europe, supported by a single information technology architecture, capable of responding to the new demands from consumers and tackling the challenge posed by the energy transition.
The goal is to create network operation synergies and streamline the energy system as a whole, maximising the chances for consumers to participate in the market while responding to such challenges as the efficient integration of distributed energy resources (demand, storage, electric vehicle, renewable and distributed generation, etc.,) the development of a new, more decentralised, dynamic and flexible distribution model and increased digitisation of network management.
To take part in this project, UFD is receiving voluntary assistance from various organisations and companies, such as the City Council of Alcalá de Henares, Metalúrgica Madrileña, HERA Holding, Caramelos Fiesta and Roca Sanitario, the involvement of which is a clear demonstration of the interest that projects like this one are generating in society.
